I'd like to bring a series of videos here on my channel showing some classic games with RTX and next-gen graphics. It would be a perfect opportunity to have a great return of Raziel and Soul Reaver, sooner or later! In this video I wanted to show you my “remake” of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2 with a resolution in 4K and with the ray tracing technology always active. There have been a lot of rumors about many remakes and remasters coming to PlayStation 5, including the Legacy of Kain series. This user, well known in the community of lovers of the Soulslike genre, has decided to "show how it could be a Legacy of Kain on PlayStation 5", with the desire that maybe sooner or later this historic franchise can come back into vogue. The fans of this historic series, however, do not seem to give up and in recent weeks the youtuber Sanadsk created a particular mod for Soul Reaver 2, which shows it in all its beauty with a 4K resolution and active ray tracing. Additional menu item 'New Game+' to start it with already solved block puzzles.For years now, many fans have been clamoring for a return of Raziel and the series Legacy of Kain, which unfortunately seems to have fallen out of favor even after the cancellation of 'Dead Sun', the alleged sequel-reboot of the series that unfortunately did not convince Square Enix way back in 2021 and no longer financed the project. Fix for storing / loading current level for the saves info is stored in savegame.txt.
Fix for storing savegame.her and kain2.txt in the folder Documents\Soul Reaver. Better compatibility with Win-10 and fixing of various bugs.
If you obtained corrupted block of the save (game crashes at a certain location):ġ) go to the location with this bug in the Spectral Realm using either the section of the file savegame.txt (just add - to the end of the name of the level of your save slot) or the option Under1 Yes (save will be loaded in the Underworld and you will need to switch to the spectral realm AGAIN near corrupted location) Ģ) switch to the Material Realm and SAVE the game that's all ģ) if you will still have the crash of the game at this place, check the game's integrity. Save the game ONLY in the regular places (not in passages or underwater). (section of the file %UserProfile%\Documents\Soul Reaver\kain2.txt) Health Spiral as in beta-version of SR1.
